Live , Love , Dance - Belchin .
We have decided to start new series in our blog !
As we have always said thanks to dancing we were fortunate to travel the world , see places we never thought we will , meet amazing people , eat fantastic food , learn , teach , grow , enjoy ... and sharing all this with the one that you love makes it even more special . So we thought we should also share these times with you as there are some great stories to tell . And here it is - chapter 1 of our Live , Love , Dance series !
Maybe in the future we will go back in time cause there are unbelievable experiences worth to be posted but we wanted to start with our most recent trip and it was to Belchin .
Never have we heard about this place before though we thought we have travelled a lot across Bulgaria for the past few decades but when Irina and Peter Goryalov from Dreamers Do called us we were like : How come we have lived here for so long and don't know about this place ? ! That was another reason to accept their invitation to join their CEO Mastery Program at the beautiful Spa Complex Belchin Springs .
Belchin is a village 15 km from Samokov between Rila , Vitosha , Plana and Verila mountains - that meant picturesque views on our way up and once we reached there it was so calm and peaceful , like a hidden treasure up in the mountains !
Irina and Peter wanted us to lecture about The Mastery of Partnering between men and women .
But first to introduce us to their group of students they wanted to do an interview with us .
Irina and Peter are one of those people hard to find - we had an online meeting prior to the trip and from the very first chat knew it is gonna be a great collaboration ! Their ability to create special moments and heart warming memories while lifting people up to their potential and higher self is inspiring and contagious .We felt this in everything during our stay in the hotel : the welcoming , the room , the dinner , the surprise on the bed when we went back from the lecture ..... everything was adding so much value to the experience !
There are occasions where we go to teach but we also end up learning a lot and that was one of those . The couples attending the workshop had different backgrounds - architects, pharmacists , financiers .... but they all had something in common . They were all masters of their craft who participated with open minds and hearts - dream students ! The practices we shared with them were very helpful and most of them couldn't hide their excitement surprising even themselves with how much they can learn about each other through dance !
Our interview with Irina and Peter gave them an idea to work together on another project that is up to be released very soon . As Peter loves to say " this is historical moment " and we can't wait to share it with you but in some of our next posts .
Have to give credits to the service at Belchin Springs - just fantastic ! The whole concept of the complex is eco friendly with some great ideas on how to save water and electricity ; the food was amazing - every single dish we ordered was super delicious ..... and the deserts !!! Add the thermal water at the outdoor and indoor facilities and that makes it the perfect getaway for the weekend . No surprise it was fully booked !
Belchin might be a small village but offers so much to see : the ancient fortress Tsari Mali Grad , St. Petka Church , The Museum Complex of Belchin .... Not to forget the exceptional beauty of the nature - despite all the spa complexes built here it remained somehow untouched .
With all of the places to see being within a walking distance from each other we started from the Tsari Mali Grad fortress . Apart from the breathtaking views from the top , the beautiful park and many things to see in all the towers of the fortress , what really got us was the energy of the place . There was something , some magic , especially at the spots where people used to gather to pray back in the days . Absolutely worth the climb !
On the way down we took the eco path and as challenging as it was in the beginning that was so refreshing and we had so much fun !
The ethnographic museum is a must see - walking through the rooms we could almost imagine how people lived there . The museum complex is a house with a yard. Furnished with furniture and household items from the beginning of the last century. Interesting for the younger ones. On the ground floor there are showcases with documents. In the yard there is a cart from the past. The employee is very kind and responsive. She tells very interesting stories.
Wanted to see the St . Petka Church but it was closed - good reason to return to Belchin !
On our way back home we couldn't resist the famous Samokov potatoes - they are known to be the best in Bulgaria and Pavlina loves potatoes ! So we just stopped by the road to one of the many people selling them and bought as many bags as the the trunk could fit !
That was one very intensive but as we all know when you do something you love and you share it with people who love it too , the energy is keeping you going and you don't feel tired - actually despite the long ride we came back home inspired and recharged !
