GRAND CUP 2019

For 4th consecutive year we were proud hosts of Grand Cup Haskovo .

The event is organised by Dance Club Grand , Bulgarian Dance Sport Federation and the Municipality of Haskovo under the patronage of the major Mr. Dobri Belivanov .

Starting from early morning we had the Rising Stars Competitions followed by the Open National Competition by class and finishing with the highlight of the event- Bulgarian Cup 2019 .

All the categories were with record number of entries with couples from clubs and cities we have participating for the first time this year .

We are proud that for another year we managed to provide great atmosphere for the competitors, guests and audience and we have some great feedback .

This year we had to provide the music for the event ourselves which was a sweet responsibility - with all the tracks carefully selected and edited have to say it really paid off as we now have our very own and special music that dancers can dance to only at our competition . Truly believe that the music played affects the performance of the couples tremendously .

The quote of the legendary Walter Laird comes to my mind :

"Bad music has little effect on bad dancers, but it degrades the quality of good dancers !!! "

This is one of the things people talk about the most and will probably remember the event with this year .

Would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors for providing the prize money for the adult ballroom and latin categories : " Nolev " sausage factory , " Commerse " sports wear and the Rottweiler Flora with her campaign " Respect the animals". That also was one of the highlights of the competition as don't think there is any other sports event sponsored by a dog !

And of course the competitors - thank you for coming to our event , for the passion you put into your performances and for creating so many beautiful moments and memories for everyone who was in sports hall " Druzhba " ! The motto of Grand Cup is " From dancers to dancers " and we always make sure to provide the best possible for every single couple attending our competition . Looking forward to welcome you in Haskovo next year and we will do our best to make it even better !
