Dancing With The Stars ME - week 10
Live 10 it was the quarterfinals of DWTS Middle East with the top 5 couples remaining .
The show this week also featured the first guest artist for the season and that was the superstar Maya Diab !
But let's start with our contestants first .
For this week we have worked with Badih Abou Chacra , Rym Saidi and Valerie Abou Chacra . They had to learn , master and perform for 4 days one routine - for Badih it was the Samba , the Paso Doble for Rym and Valerie had to do the Salsa .
The opening number for the night was the Paso of Rym Saidi and Martin Rycroft to " Outside " . Once again have to say that Rym's progress in the last few weeks is undeniable ! She started the Paso Doble with a solo sequence and from the very first beat she was so much in character looking confident and determined : great posture , really nice usage of the arms , beautiful shaping in frame . No surprise that was one of her highest scored performances for the season .
" Mr. Charming " , as we call him , Badih Abou Chacra had the difficult task to dance the Samba . The song was "Gamalo " by one of our favourite arab singers Amr Diab . The music had very good rhythm and so inspiring to dance to . Badih and his pro partner Sandra Abbas did a great job ! He executed very well the bounce action that the judges are so looking for to see , the choreography was very challenging but he proved once again he is a great performer and a very strong contender for the top . In our opinion this was the best male samba for the season ! Well done Badih & Sandra !
It turns into trent this season that we have someone's birthday on the day of the live show . This Sunday it was Valerie's birthday ! Together with all the presents and wishes she received during the week , she got another birthday gift - her first 10 and so well deserved ! Valerie and her partner Asadour Euredjian were dancing the Salsa to " Ain't your mama " and the dance ain't nothing but a smash ! The judges commented that Valerie had great usage of her feet and actions in the body that they haven't seen in her other latin dances so far . Very well performed and well deserved second place on the leaderboard for the night !
The special guest of the night Maya Diab had three appearances during the live and we had worked on two of them with her . The fact there were much more people willing to enter and watch the show live was a proof that she is a true star - she was so professional during the weeks of practice before the show ,never complained ,always asked what she could better ,being always on time and respectful to all the people she worked with . We see why she is what she is - a true diva !
In the danger zone last night we had Rym Saidi & Martin Rycroft and Lady Madonna & Abdo Dalloul . While we were enjoying one of Maya 's performance ,the audience voted and with almost 70 to 30 % they have decided they want to keep Lady Madonna in the show . So we had to say " Good bye " to Rym & Martin but not for long ,as all the celebrities from this season are coming back to perform in the final in two weeks .
Don't forget to watch the show next week ,as it's the Semifinals with the top 4 couples of the season ! There will be many surprises as they will have to prepare for the first time this season 2 routines in one week - will give you a little teaser by saying that one of them will be something that has never been done in all the seasons of DWTS ME till now !
