Dancing With The Stars ME ,week 8
After the switch up last week , which was no elimination week as well , the 7 remaining couples are back to their original partners and willing to hit that floor stronger than ever . Turned up for some of them changing the partners for a week was very refreshing !
This show was The Christmas special of the season as it was right after Christmas Eve on Sunday . Have to say all the production team ,the pro dancers , the celebrities , the stage crew , makeup artists , hairdressers , us - the choreographers ,were more than happy to spend the holidays preparing this show for everyone with lots of love so that we bring joy and share our love for dancing with everyone watching . The best way to celebrate Christmas !
For this week we have choreographed 4 routines :a jive , a viennese waltz, a tango and a samba . All the songs were festive and in the Christmas mood and it was fun to work with the couples .
The show started with Lady Madonna & Abdo Dalloul performing the Tango to " Never do a tango with an eskimo " . Loved that song ! So catchy , so classy ,so Lady Madonna ! Her and Abdo are famous for their entertaining style and approach to dancing and we made sure that this routine was no exception - one of their best dances in the show so far !
Valerie Abou Chakra and her pro partner Asadour Euredjian performed the Viennese Waltz to a beautiful arabic song " Sahret eid " . Undoubtedly very elegant and sophisticated performance for Valerie with great shapes and flow around the floor !
The Samba King of the night was Nicolas Mezher who danced to " Ay ay ay it's Christmas " reunited with Amanda Abirached and have to say that was an " Ay ay ay " performance ! Lots of fun , very cute , positive vibes - so much Nicolas !
Probably one of the toughest jobs of the night had Badih Abou Chakra who was dancing a Jive to " Jingle bells rock " with Sandra Abbas . His routine had so much Jive content ,kicks , flicks , dynamic changes - a real challenge even for a pro dancer . Badih proved one more time that he is a great performer , his live performance was so much better than the dress rehearsal when people where asking if he can actually do that .Yes , he did ! Unfortunately he slipped and fell on a very simple step almost at the end of the routine ,which took some points of the judges scores ,but that 's the risk of a live show ! Nevertheless - a great job !
At the end of the night it was elimination time - the results from last week were added to that from tonight and at the danger zone we had Nicolas & Amanda and Roda Antar & Zeina Assaf .
The audience then had the final word and they voted for Nicolas to stay in the show .Now there are jokes on line says that whoever ends in the bottom two with Nicolas , goes out , as it's the 3rd elimination he survives ! Guess people love him !
We are only 4 weeks away from the final of the season and next show will be on the 1st of January 2017 - our New Year's special ! We have prepared lots of surprises ,also we have our first guest artists of the season ,so stay tuned for more updates and see you next year !
