Blackpool Dance Festival 2016
Every year Blackpool gathers the best dance couples and dance fanatics from all over the world . This year it was the 91st annual edition of the world's first and foremost festival of dancing - The British Open Dance Championship at the historical Winter Gardens .
The holy halls of the venue , the unique sound of the Empress Orchestra , top couples in all categories , top and renowned adjudicators and coaches , knowledgeable and supportive audience ,the BDF congress , gala dinners and showcases - all this is just adding more to the atmosphere of this great event .
This is magic that one can not explain with words but everyone can feel the moment they enter the door of the historical building - we guess this is what makes everyone want to come back here year ,after year , after year .......
No need to say we have experienced and witnessed some great dancing for these 12 days , met so many friends , teachers and fellow competitors that we barely see somewhere else , got surprised , inspired , thrilled and tired but left happy and looking forward to come back next year .
